Samson's Story...
Introducing...Samson! Samson is a 2 year old Lhasa Apso that came to us from Richland County. When this precious boy came to us, he was completely matted with fur so matted on his ears that they looked 3 times bigger than they actually were! After he patiently allow me to cut of all of the matting, then bathe him, he was like a new man! He walked with his head held high (he's very good on a leash) and it was obvious he felt so much better! Because of the neglect, he has lost quite a bit of fur from flea dermatitis but good food and proper care, his fur should grow back nicely and we'll see how handsome Samson really is!

He is so gentle and loving and just wants a lap to sit in and be cuddled! Please don't let his lack of fur be a deterrent for adopting him; it will grow back. He is such a precious boy!

Photos to follow soon.

Samson's adoption fee is $175 and covers the cost of his neuter, vaccines, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and your adoption fee is a tax deductible contribution.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samson, a Delaware Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Delaware, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Delaware.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delaware already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delaware breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delaware paves the way for another one to be saved.
