Max in Houston's Story...
Max in Houston
I found a JRT on the side of the highway in Houston, Texas. He was with a shar pei mix who's eye was hanging out of her socket. He had an electrical cord triple wrapped around his throat so tight I could barely get scissors under it. He's 2 and I vetted him. He's neutered, hw neg, vaxed and taking Trifexis. He's very affectionate, playful and sweet. He's friendly with big and small dogs.

I am a patient at MD Anderson Cancer and in dire financial straits. My health is also continuing to decline. I've been trying to find a home for him since I found him, but am not able to continue helping him anymore. I can barely feed myself or buy my meds to keep me alive. I cannot keep buying Trifexis and dog food and am extremely exhausted from my illness.

Please contact me about helping Max. I didn't intend to take him to a shelter when I picked him up off the highway, but I am seriously running out of options. catspajamas007@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max in Houston, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
