Scratchy's Info...

I am already spayed, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Scratchy's Story...
This cutie-pie is Scratchy, a spayed female approx. 3 years old. Scratchy is a very loving girl and craves attention, but she is timid. She is afraid of strangers and loud noises and things she is not familiar with. Scratchy is in need of a new home because her elderly owners have had to move into assisted living and they can't take her.

Scratchy would dearly love to find a home with a calm, quiet and peaceful environment. She would make an excellent companion for an older person or couple, or in a home where there are no young children or other pets. Scratchy has lived with other kitties before so it might work if there is another kitty, but she is happy to be the only animal in the home!

Scratchy is staying with relatives, we are hoping to find her a new home without having to bring her into the shelter, but a new home must be found soon. Please call Tayler for more information and to set-up a time to meet Scratchy. (509)951-2934

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scratchy, a Colville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colville paves the way for another one to be saved.
