Here's what the humans have to say about me:
So I've been told that the name Melanie comes from the Greek origin meaning blackness…I guess it is kinda fitting as of late, since I have had so much darkness and uncertainty in my life. I was literally found living on the streets with my sister Martina. We had hit rock bottom. But after coming here to FDNL, those dark clouds seem to be clearing and I see a glorious glowing future ahead of me! I want to share this new found light with a really special family! I feel like I have found my calling and this is what I was meant to do! Be part of your family! I do need kids in my life to be 10+, as they are better understanding of a situation such as mine. I am pretty timid and wary in new situations….after spending time on the streets all this new found attention is taking me some getting used to. Be gentle, and I will give you all the love in the world. I am getting used to this crate training thing, and I think I'm really liking it. I get along with the other dogs here and really do love to play! I guess I just have a lot of optimism moving forward and I want to share this light with you. Grey skies are gunna clear up, so put on a happy face! 1 year old-23lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, dog food sample.
