PISTOL PETE's Story...
Pistol Pete came by his name thru very unfortunate circumstances. He was shot thru the side of his neck. Pistol Pete's guardian angel was right there on his shoulder because the bullet went straight in and out, and believe it or not, no damage was done. The bullet missed muscle and went thru the fatty tissue of the neck with very little bleeding. Now Pistol Pete is ready for his family. He is about 7 months old and weighs about 45 lbs. We gave him the birthday of 1/15/13. Pistol Pete is a Pointer mix almost solid white with brown ears and a patch of brown on his left upper front leg. He is very handsome. Pete is working on house training and coming along quickly. He loves to play chase with his playmates. He may be shy to begin with around strangers, which is understandable, however it doesn't take long for him to warm up. He is waiting for that special someone to call his own. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

PISTOL PETE, a Salem Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Salem, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
