I am up to date with shots.
Buck never met a tennis ball he didn't want to fetch - over and over. And over.
With his sleek buckskin coat and tan eyes to match, Buck also loves belly rubs - in fact, any kind of petting - and being brushed and bathed. For all his love of fetching, he's also a calm, mellow boy who's happy to chill on the couch with his people.
He's working on his leash training and knows the sit command. He isn't fond of other dogs and presumably doesn't care for cats, either, so needs to be the only pet in a home. He can be fearful of strangers in the home so remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team.
Buck will be a great fit in an adult only home where he can get plenty of exercise. It will need to be a home with a high secure fence around its yard, since he's been known to be an Olympic level high-jumper.
Come meet Buck and see if he isn't your perfect hiking companion.
And remember, when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
