Roscoe's Story...
Meet Roscoe! He is a male Labrador Retriever mix. Too smart this guy is. He is great with all other dogs, very gentle, not a mean bone in his body. He will hold his bladder till he almost floats away. Has never went inside the house. LOVES to ride in the car and gets upset when he can't go. Likes to curl up on the furniture and will get in the bed for snuggle time. Walks great on a leash. Took us forever to come up with a name. It seemed he didn't like any that we tried until we said Roscoe. He is a young dog between 1-2 yrs. old, neutered, microchipped, the works.

Roscoe will be a better fit as a second dog instead of an only dog. He likes to play and have the company of a friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Georgetown Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Georgetown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Georgetown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Georgetown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Georgetown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Georgetown paves the way for another one to be saved.
