I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Simba-Prison Graduate's Story...
Simba just returned from being trained at the Grafton Correctional Institution for the last few months. He was trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and leash walking. Simba learned his lessons well and is now ready and waiting for his forever loving home.

Super sweet Simba here! He's a 3 year old Chihuahua mix. Simba takes a little time to warm up but once he does he's extremely lovable. Simba was rescued from the Lorain County Dog Kennel so not much is known about him. He can be a little nippy at times so it's best if he were adopted by an adult household or one with children over 12 years of age. Stop by and spend some time with Simba. He just may be the dog of your dreams. It's not known if Simba likes other dogs or cats. If you have another dog in your family and are interested in adopting Simba, please bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba-Prison Graduate, a Elyria Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
