Casey's Story...
Happy Autumn, everyone! My name is Casey, and I'm a 1 1/2 year old cutie! My family surrendered me to the shelter, and it really has me feeling blue. I'm trying to keep my chin up, but it's hard, you know. Especially since the holidays are coming up and I don't feel like I have much to be thankful for right now. Can you give me a home? I have so many assets, it will be hard for you to resist me. I'm already housetrained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I like adults, kids and other dogs. I am also a great compact size for someone without a ton of space: I only weigh about 30 pounds. I went to an adoption event recently and everyone thought I was super-sweet (I greeted everyone at the door with kisses) and I spent much of the day playing with other dogs or sitting on my handler's lap. Oh, did I mention that I have an adorable underbite that is sure to make you smile? Here's hoping that you'll come visit and get to know me really soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casey, a Huntingdon Hound (Unknown Type)/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Dachshund for sale in Huntingdon, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Huntingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Dachshund breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
