2013-09-27: Greetings. My name is Buster Bee and I am a 5 year old chocolate male. My foster took me for a ride to Vet where I found out I weighed 91 lbs. My foster says that I ride really well in the car and that I have great house manners. I love attention. Seriously I would be a lap dog if you would let me. I love sitting close and getting hugs because I am such a big softy. I am very laid back, easy going and have a mild disposition. I would be great with family who would like a constant companionship and I love being indoors with everyone.
I get along with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am very good when left alone and I am not destructive in the house or outside. One of my favorite things to do is to go for walks around the neighborhood. I am told that I walk well on the lease and that I do not pull or tug. My other favorite thing is playing with toys. I love to carry them around trying to get someone to play catch with me.
I am pretty good with a few commands. I started late with my training but I am picking it up quickly. I can sit, stay and come when called. I am not to sure about the “Down” command but with time I think I can get the hang of it.
I prefer toys to treats, which may be a little weird for us Labs. I do not beg or drool when the humans are eating and I am content to laydown instead. Last week, I was introduced to peanut butter for the first time, I thought it was a little weird at first but it turned out to be amazing. I also love ice cubes.
