Elway is a 9 year old fawn male with cropped and standing ears. 10/10/13 One of our volunteers spent a few hours with Elway today at the kennel. He is such a sweet boy. They took a walk and for an "old man" he can walk at a very steady clip. He walks well on the leash. He rides well but does need a lower vehicle or a ramp. He had a trip to the vet and they said he is in great shape for his age. He does have some "creaky knees" and hip problems, but that is expected with age. They gave him some medicine that he can take as needed. He met several dogs at the vet's and had no major reaction - he was nose to nose with a Bichon who wanted to play. He enjoyed all the fawning attention of the staff. I feel he would do well with a low key female and he certainly would enjoy the attention of a loving home. Could you open your heart and home to this sweet old boy?
11/11/13 - Elway is now in a foster home thanks to some wonderful volunteers. He is becoming acclimated to his new surroundings and having a good time chilling and getting belly rubs.
