Allie's Story...
Hi my name is Allie, I lived with my Mom all my life until she was in a bad car accident and could no longer keep me, she had to move far away and move in with her daughter who was not allowed to have dogs in her condo. This nice lady has given me a home and I am well taken care of but she needs to find me a home to call my own, she knows me very well because she says, I would be happiest with an older Mommy or Dad that have a quieter life style. I look a little different to when I was a young pup as I had to have my tail surgically removed and my Mom says if you are older you will understand that, as you may have had some life changes too, but she says I am still a beautiful girl. I like to play and will love to go for walks with you, but also will be happy to sit with you and watch a movie and go to bed early. I lived with two little dogs before so am okay with little ones, I bark and chase cats but don't want to hurt them. I am very well behaved and will make the best companion, please call my mommy and tell her you want me to be your best friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Sarasota Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
