My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Shika (shee-kah), which means deer cause my foster mom thought I looked like a little deer. I came from the Cheyenne Animal Shelter in Wyoming after my owners had too many animals and surrendered me. I am a little over a year old.

I like men, women, children and most dogs, but I am a little too rough on cats. I'd be happier in a home without kitties. What I really like is tennis balls!! I LOVE tennis balls! BOL! I love to chase them! I love to chew on them! I love to run around with them! I even love to play fetch!! I'm learning to walk on a leash but I might try to pull a little. I LOVE taking walks (almost as much as I love tennis balls).

Foster Mom says I'm very vocal and like to talk a lot so maybe I should live in a house not an apartment. The shelter also said I had a history of being an escape artist so please have 6 foot fencing to keep me around. I have a LOT of energy but if you give me lots of exercise I'll settle down and cuddle with you. I do get some separation anxiety when my foster daddy leaves. Foster Mom says I act more like a Lab than a Shiba and calls me a Lab in a Shiba coat! Not sure I like that! I'm all Shiba. I'm just my own kind of Shiba!

I would love to come live with you forever (if you'll buy me lots of tennis balls!). My adoption fee is $350.00 which covers my spay, microchip, deworming, distemper and rabies vaccinations and a 6 week training course in your area so I can be the best Shiba I can be!
