My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apollo is an approx 16 month old, 56 pound energetic pup. He is crate trained and house trained. In his current foster home he is learning sit, down, off, and leave it. Apollo does like to counter surf, but this is being worked on. He is very food motivated, so training will continue be easy in that respect. He walks well with a halter/gentle leader head harness, but still pulls at times. He is a very happy, affectionate guy who loves tummy rubs, going for walks, car rides (he rides very well with no car sickness noted), and frozen stuffed Kongs. Apollo does jump up at times to greet visitors. He has no noted food aggression-his foster family has removed food and toys from him without incident. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate. Apollo does whine a little in his crate from time to time, but this is usually due to not having enough walks or playtime. He is not a destructive chewer, but does like his kongs and chew bones. He goes potty right after he is brought outside and we have found he doesn't like being out in the cold and wants to run back in the house after doing his business. Apollo was rescued from Alabama where he had no future. He also should be with older kids >12 years old due to his jumpiness and young dog energy. Apollo is not easily startled and is a go-with-the-flow kind of dog. Nothing seems to faze him. He is an American Bulldog mix, but his official paperwork says "Pit bull".
