Daisy Mae's Story...
Daisy Mae is a pure delight bassett hound mix that is approximately 3 years in age. She has made nothing but positive impressions on everyone she has met with her happy self since arriving to rescue. She is housebroken and good with other dogs. Cats are unknown but we suspect she is going to be pretty good with them too! She came to use from a rural location originally. Daisy Mae is doing very nice in her foster home with other dogs. She does need to shed a few pounds, but we think that just makes more of her to love (but she does need to just a tiny bit) If interested in adopting this total package - then get started with an online application at http://www.henricohumane.org/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy Mae, a Richmond Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
