My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Amazing Duke! He is the cutest (and coolest!) mixture of lab and bassett (?) or lab and dachshund (?) we are really not sure! But one thing we are certain of is that he has the BEST personality and is a total CHILL boy! One and a half year old Duke was rescued out of high kill northeast Georgia by his foster mom. How he ended up there, who knows, and he certainly did not deserve to die! His lucky day was when Annemarie came in to pick up another and could not say no to this adorable brindle face! Duke weighs 33lbs and is rather unusual looking…but everyone who meets him just falls in love! His tail starts wagging before you even notice him (who cannot notice Duke?!) and he is ready to be everyone’s friend immediately. Duke is quiet and calm and great on the leash. He gets along amazing with small dogs and big ones all the same. His foster mom in WA has already had him to Marymoor dog park and he loved it! He comes to his name, rides awesome in the car and is crate trained and totally house trained too. He will love the Washington outdoors and can’t wait for a daily walk or run or an occasional hike! Duke deserves a great home with a lot of love and companionship, but he’s not demanding about much else! He was trusted in his foster’s house in GA and WA and although everyone has been great for him, he’s ready for his real forever home! Duke is neutered, totally vaccinated and micro-chipped. He will be available to meet at Sunday’s (Oct 6th) adoption event at Mud Bay in Lake Forest Park, so come meet him and all his friends from 11-3pm. If you want to get the jump on this awesome boy who will be easy and fun for any adopter, please fill out an online application at www.raincityrescue.com. For questions or to meet him sooner, contact Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com. This cutest and quirky of brindle pups will go fast, so don’t meet out on making him your newest and greatest of family members!
