Meet Betsy! This sweet girl was rescued nearly a year and a half ago at the young age of about 6 months old and was in awful condition. It’s been a challenging year and a half bringing this wonderful girl back to a healthy state, both physically and mentally. She could teach all of us a lesson in forgiveness! Over the past year all of her health problems have been successfully treated, including a horrible case of demodex mange. Betsy is an extremely loving girl, but does not get along with female dogs. She loves to play with her canine foster brothers, but has shown aggression towards her canine foster sisters; she would do great in a home with only male dogs! Because of the abuse she suffered in her past she is slow to trust people, but once she gets to know you she is EXTREMELY affectionate, loyal and eager to please! She loves to follow you from room to room and is always interested in watching what you’re doing. She is such a love bug and is just absolutely adorable!! The perfect home for her would be one with male dogs and no small children. She has done great with all of the older children she has gotten to know. She is ready to go to a loving family of her very own. Give this girl a chance and you will not regret it!
Her adoption includes all puppy vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, heartworm neg, spay, microchip including registration with a 2wk health guarantee.

Rescue Group Info...
Shelter2Rescue Coalition is an all-volunteer rescue organization dedicated to the safe-rehoming of shelter animals. We started as a rescue facilitation organization, helping rural shelters publicize their at-risk dogs, thereby dramatically reducing the need to euthanize for space. Then, as we worked with more shelters, it became very apparent that if we could just buy the dogs up for euthanasia just a little more time, you could save even more lives. The 72-hour hold limit at most shelters just wasn't enough for most dogs to get out. Therefore, we expanded and built partnerships with boarding facilities, transport organizations and other nationwide rescues in order to be able to provide a temporary safe haven for dogs out of time. We have now expanded Shelter2Rescue Coalition to include our own adoption program. Since June 2007, through facilitation and adoption, Shelter2Rescue Coalition volunteers have saved over 2000 dogs and cats.
Shelter2Rescue Coalition holds weekly adoption events at the Petsmart in Lakeworth 1st and 3rd Saturday,11am-4pm of each month. Also Petsmart at Grand Prarie 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
We are there every Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.(times can be earlier and later at times)
LAKE WORTH PETSMART ADOPTATHON EVENT
12/13 November Sat/Sun 10-7 both days. Dogs/puppies and cats/kittens of all shapes, sizes and breeds.MARK YOUR CALENDERS FOR THIS HUGES EVENT 100 PETS
You can also email us at email@example.com. We only bring a handful of animals to our events. We try to set up meet and greets at these locations also.
We do our best to match up potential adopters with just the right pet as we want to ensure a lifelong placement for the rescued animal. Our adoption process includes an initial application, with home visit, reference and vet checks. If the match is a good one, we then have an adoption contract that is executed. We have a commitment not only to our adopted dogs, but also to the families that adopt them, and we are always available to help with the transition to a new home. We check in during the first few weeks to answer any questions or help with any issues - or to just give you someone to brag to about your new baby. We can't hear that too much!
