Meet Itasca. She is a 2 year old Saint Bernard/Australian Shepherd mix. She was picked up as a Stray in TX and taken to a high kill shelter. Itasca is now in a great foster home that is learning how much she is like an Aussie. Itasca is VERY smart and has a lot of energy. She likes toys and can jump very high. If you are looking for an active dog, Itasca is the one for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Itasca, a Denver St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd for sale in Denver, or seeking a St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
