My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley is an adorable, quiet, affectionate and loyal, 18-month-old, seven-pound, male Border Terrier/Italian Greyhound-mix looking for a loving guardian. Marley has long legs and is light on his feet. In fact, he prances. He sometimes walks like a lemur on his back legs, and has the cutest goat-like beard. To get him to dance, all you do is show him a treat. With other animals, Marley is an absolute delight. He loves other dogs and is good with cats. In fact, he would probably be best with another dog in the home … perhaps an older relaxed dog who can show Marley the ropes. He is 99% house-trained and working on his crate-training. Marley was originally found as a scared stray. Now that he’s living in a foster home, he’s learned to relax around his favorite people. However, he’s a “go-slow” dog. That means if someone walks up and says “may I pet your dog” you say “no.” He has been known to nip out of fear. For that reason, he’s best-suited for a home with adults and teens. Once he knows you, Marley loves to snuggle in your lap and give kisses. He’s great at the dog beach, good on leash and well-behaved in the car. Marley is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Maria at mltherese@gmail.com or 847-867-8457. His adoption fee of $250 benefits ResQ Tails.
