My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Star is a very loving girl, and she has an enormous attachment to the dog she was raised with. When there is a quiet moment and I wonder where Star has snuck off to, I always find her snuggled up in a dog bed with her "sister." Star really loves to be given love, attention and praise. You can see her light right up when she knows you approve of what she's doing.

Star is very friendly to the adults she has met, but is not good with younger children. Although she has never tried to bite, I think she is afraid of them and was just never socialized with children. With adults she basically invites herself onto your lap or beside you on the couch and welcomes any love you have to offer her. I don't believe Star shows any distinct shyness to any certain people. As long as they are an adult, she is pretty well comfortable with anyone.

Star is pretty well rounded around other pets. We have 4 small male dogs of our own and after the first 2 days of us fostering her, she basically is part of their "pack". When we go for our walks at night, Star is right in there with all the male dogs having the time of her life. She just seems to fit in well with other dogs.

Star loves to play with a ball, she loves to run around in the backyard and she LOVES her walks. When it's dark out Star's favourite thing to do is cuddle!!!!

I believe Star would do best in a home with adults and no children. She absolutely loves attention and to be snuggled. If Star could find a family that either has someone who is not working or a retired owner I think she would be in her glory. Star's favourite thing on the earth, however; is the dog she was raised with and is also currently in our foster care. If Star were to find a home with another dog she would likely be more comfortable with that dog being small like herself. Someone that is looking to fill that void in their heart by a dog with so much love to give would be wise to adopt Star. She is beautiful inside and out, her eyes tell it all. Having her curl up on your lap and fall asleep is one of the most precious things you could experience.

Sassy
UMDR ID#013-0935

Sassy loves to be cuddled and pet gently. Anything loud or fast moving that comes near her makes her very nervous and scared. When she gets scared she typically tries to find something to hide under. She has never shown any aggression, growling, or snapping towards people. I have noticed that when Sassy is afraid and you approach her she does seem to make a squeak noise to warn you that she is scared, but she has never snapped at anyone. Sassy is very shy around people. Unless you physically pick her up and give her love she will hide in her bed. Rarely does Sassy come looking for attention. She is a dog that requires people to come and find her and encourage her to join in.

Sassy and Star have grown up together and don't spend much, if any; time apart. Sassy shows no aggression toward other pets, however; she is sometimes nervous of other pets if they are too hyper around her. In my opinion, I feel Sassy is simply afraid of being hurt or jumped on by other pets and again she squeaks to warn them that she doesn't want to be bothered by them.

Sassy is fine when left alone in a room or the house. She doesn't appear to show any signs of separation anxiety unless locked in a crate. We realized early on in fostering Sassy that she doesn't require crating while your out of the house. Sassy is a well behaved, house-trained dog. When left alone she snuggled under her blanket in her bed and falls fast asleep. Sassy really enjoys a quiet and calm lifestyle.

If you would like to give these two precious girls a loving home, please submit an application for consideration.
