My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Anika! She is a healthy, 55 lb, 5-year-old, spayed, microchipped, 50 percent husky/shepherd and 100 percent mutt with medium-length brown, white and black fur who is up-to-date on all shots. Anika has medium to high energy and loves playing with balls. She is a social companion who loves dogs, cats, and even interacts with livestock well.* Like many Shepherd crosses, she is protective of her family with strangers, especially males, so she needs a good leader to help her feel secure. Anika walks well on leash, both off and on, and loves to play in a large yard or field. Anika has primarily lived on acreage and would do well in a country setting as she is getting nervous in her new small yard and home. Anika loves to hunt and camp, is quiet, smart, and listens very well.
*Though our volunteers try their best, we cannot guarantee that any rescued animal will be a perfect match for each resident, child, or resident pet in every foster/forever home.
