My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wags was rescued from downtown Jackson, MS by a long time friend to animals and kind soul, Burt. Here is what Burt has to say about Wags: "We knew we had some stray cats where I work, and possibly one with kittens, so we set up a camera to see what we had and how we could catch them. We have already caught and neutered one cat here. To our surprise we got a picture of a dog – eating the cat’s food at 11:30 PM. I thought it was odd because we had never seen a dog around. The next day as I was leaving work, I looked back and saw this pup standing at the fence watching as everyone left. I drove back in and we bumped in to each other as we came around the corner of a warehouse. He ran off, but as I called him and “puppy-talked” to him I was finally able to ease up to him and pet him. Once I did, he rolled over. I put him in the car and off we went to the vet. He is a fine “Mississippi Black and Tan” dog and is super timid and sweet and obviously has never been treated well. He is definitely the kind of pup that will bloom with affection and some good groceries! Around one year old, thankfully heatworm free and now fully vetted and neutered." Although Wags is currently in Jackson, MS, transportation to New England can be easily arranged.
