My story

Duke is a fun loving, energetic chocolate lab/pittbull mix. I adopted him when he was 4 months old from a rescue facility. He is currently 4 years old. Date of Birth was listed as 05/30/2009.

Duke loves to be with people, he is truly like another child and is always willing to cuddle. He is very obedient, great with common commands, enjoys going for walks, playing fetch, swimming and does well riding in vehicles.

We have worked with a couple different trainers over the years with Duke and one of those times being about a month ago. Duke has lived with our Chihuahua for 3 years now and they have been the best of friends, sharing a bed and playing like siblings.

We went on a most recent camping trip and the area was very new to both dogs, with a lot of excitement going on. Duke nipped our little dog in the face, nothing serious, but we feel that re homing Duke would be the best thing for our family right now. We have a two year old daughter at home with whom he has been great with, but we have always monitored closely. We are expecting our second baby in January 2014. We do want any other altercations to happen.

Duke is up to date on shots, is micro chipped and currently weighted in at 78 pounds during last months vet visit.

Duke is a beautiful good natured dog who is very deserving of another great home. He does not do well with other dogs and would be best being the only dog in the household.
