Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sophie's Story...
Sophie is a 7 month old Shar Pei mix in chocolate. The Shar Pei is clearly visible in her face . a wonderful wrinkled nose and in a small lithe body which loves to have fun. Sophie plays ball/fetch, can sit, lay down and shake both paws and since she is a puppy anything is possible. She likes to counter surf if given the chance, but is a real cuddle bug which more than makes up for this. Sophie is currently living with an older dog, two adults and one child under 2 years old. She is dominant and is best suited with a submissive dog and an experienced owner. She does well with a fenced in backyard, but has not had occasion to be off leash. She loves to go for walks with a gentle leader and gets lots of daily exercise. Sophie is fully vetted, UTD on vaccines and is also micro-chipped. She is a lovely puppy who would make a great companion to someone who loves the outdoors and lots of activities.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Caledon Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Caledon, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Caledon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Caledon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Caledon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Caledon paves the way for another one to be saved.
