Ruger's Info...

Ruger's Story...
HE IS BACK AND READY FOR THE RIGHT HOME! RUGER is a 3 year old blue tick hound mix. Ruger was returned by his recent adoptive family because he does not like young kids. This is something that can be worked with, but he would be best with a family with an empty nest or someone looking for a companion. He would make a GREAT hunting companion and he always has his nose to the ground looking for a scent. He would be great in the country where he could enjoy using his hound instincts for scent. This unique boy will be a great addition to any family and will hopefully be adopted ASAP.

Ruger is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready to go home with you today! His adoption fee is WAIVED. You can submit an adoption application at Please TEXT 361-438-3232for more information. You can visit Ruger at Corpus Christi Animal Control at 2626 Holly Road. Adoption Hours are Mon-Fri 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Saturday 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Make sure you ask for a PAAC volunteer when you go visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruger, a Corpus Christi Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Corpus Christi, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Corpus Christi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corpus Christi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corpus Christi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corpus Christi paves the way for another one to be saved.
