Lilly's Story...
Thank goodness the mama of these adorable puppies was rescued from a nasty shelter just in the nick of time. These beautiful babies were born on 8/25/13 in an experienced LLR foster home. They are loving, playful and well socialized. There are 4 girls - Lila, Lily, Loly and Lucky, and there are 2 boys - Luke and Leo. Many of you will ask, what breeds are these puppies? Well......we know that mama is a yellow Lab and probably Corgi mix. She is golden yellow, low to the ground, with small ears. Dad was possibly a Boxer mix or Mastiff mix? Whatever they are, they are fun and precious. They will be ready to go to new homes at the end of October. These pups are up to date on vaccinations for their age and micro-chipped. What warms your heart more than puppy kisses, puppy snuggles and puppy antics. Let the love flow! If you would like to learn more about these puppies, complete an online application and indicate them in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Salem Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
