Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful people at the Del Norte County Animal Control located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play.
We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! *Please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees are between $15 - $95 depending on if the dog has been previously fixed and if you are adopting in Del Norte County or out of the county.

Lucy is a loveable young girl. She’s active, but not hyper. She’s ready to play and have a good time, but still wants to cuddle and be loved on. She’s a sweet girl who really needs some love in her life! She’s a curious girl who loves to explore, perfect for walks around town or hikes on the mountain! Lucy was picked up as a stray in Crescent City, CA in March of 2013, so it’s unknown how much training she’s had, so she’s hoping her new family will dedicate some time to teaching her the ropes of how to be a good girl in her new home! Lucy for you, Lucy is a very smart girl who is eager to please, so a few treats and lots of praise, and Lucy will pick up all her tricks in no time!
