TATIANA IS BY FAR ONE OF THE PRETTIEST CATS WE'VE SEEN YET! A VERY UNUSUAL SHORT-HAIR SILVER TIGER DILUTE CALICO, MORE LIKE THE TIGER TORTOISESHELL. BORN AFTER 2003.

THIS BEAUTY WAS BROUGHT INTO OUR VET'S TO 'BE DISPOSED OF' BY A VERY YOUNG COUPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE MOVING AND THE NEW LANDLORD WOULD NOT ALLOW A PET. WE DO HEAR THIS STORY ALL TOO OFTEN.

SHE HAD NOT BEEN SPAYED AND, AT AGE 8 MONTHS, THIS CERTAINLY COULD HAVE BECOME A PROBLEM. WE SOON NOTICED THAT THE COLLAR SHE HAD WAS BEGINNING TO BECOME EMBEDDED INTO HER NECK, AS FUR WAS MISSING. IT WAS OBVIOUS TO US THAT SHE WAS NOT WELL CARED FOR. DESPITE THIS SHE WAS STILL VERY GOOD-NATURED AND NOT SKITTISH OR SHY.

TATIANA IS DEFINITELY A PEOPLE-CAT! SHE IS SWEET AND AS DEMURE AS ANY LITTLE LADY CAN BE; BUT, SHE IS ALSO THE CLASS CLOWN AS SHE WILL PLAY HIDE AND SEEK WITH YOU AS YOU GO BY, EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO HER. SHE LOVES TO PLAY BY HERSELF WITH HER OWN INVENTIVE GAMES AND MIGHT WANT TO CUDDLE WITH YOU AS YOU SLEEP, BUT CAN ALSO SLEEP IN HER OWN ROOM AS SHE HAS DONE SINCE BEING AT OUR SAFE HAVEN.

SHE WILL NOT MIND ANOTHER CAT PROVIDING IT IS VERY NON-THREATENING, AS TATIANA IS NOT A FIGHTER, NOR WILL SHE 'TAKE OVER' ANOTHER CAT'S TERRITORY. A DOMINANT CAT WILL BE TOO STRESSFUL FOR HER. SO WE THINK SHE MIGHT DO WELL AS AN ONLY CAT OR WITH ONE OF OUR OTHER GENTLE CATS THAT WE ALREADY KNOW SHE DOESN'T MIND. WE SUGGEST, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A FRIEND FOR HER, TO LOOK AT LARA OR MINIE.
THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL GIRL WHO WILL GIVE YOU LOYALTY AND LOVE AND DESERVES A FOREVER HOME.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR PERSONALITY PROFILES:
Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate.
As we have very limited manpower, please also note we are sometimes overloaded and cannot update profiles immediately.

About Cat-a-Match Rescue

About Our Shelter...

A feline behaviourist, rescuing abandoned felines and some dogs. Because of our %100 lifetime return policy we make every effort to correctly match the right companion to suit your lifestyle. This is a "Let Live " Safe Haven and our motto is : rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home. The promise we try to uphold to our rescued felines: " that they should never have to be rescued again!" A Guidelines Adopters' Package is included with the adoption and post adoption support for health and behaviour, from natural to conventional remedies.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Safe Haven is located 1 hour east of Ottawa just off Hwy. 417, easy to find, and 45 min. west of Montreal. Visits are by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Please first read our Adoption Procedures and Criteria on our homepage at: www.catamatch.petfinder.com, then e-mail us requesting an application. We will then review it, contact your references and then contact you by phone for a short interview and to book an appointment for your visit to the shelter. Our visitors usually spend an hour or more to be able to interact with as many of our resident cats as possible, in a natural 'home environment' as well as an opportunity to ask us any questions you might have. We then ask that you return home to make your decision, and if you think you have found a suitable companion we then contact each other to discuss these details. If we are all in agreement, then arrangements are made for your special new companion to be delivered to your home (within a certain distance or other arrangements are made). Our minimum donation for adult cat adoption is $165.00 (an additional donation for cats who have had certain testing or treatments).
