Cash's Story...
Cash is a bouncy, young Swiss mountain dog mix that is looking for an active, dedicated new home. Cash can be very jumpy and can get mouthy, but he is a good student and wants to please. This sweet boy can be a little nervous in certain situations but he just needs a few kind words or a treat and he is quickly over it. It will be mandatory that Cash be signed up for positive based obedience classes before his adoption can be finalized. This will teach him important skills like how to sit and not jump up, as well as socialize him properly with other dogs. Cash loves other canines but is pretty oblivious to proper social etiquette. He could use a canine pal that has the same energy level as him so they can wear each other out and a VERY confident kitty that can stand up to him may be okay. Cash would do best with kids over 10 who have lived with big dogs like him before since Cash simply doesn't know his own strength. If you think you would be a good match, please head up to the front desk and fill out an adoption application so you can take him on a walk.

Cash, a Bellingham Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
