My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlotte (Charlie) is a sweet young thing that fell on hard times. She came into a shelter as a stray one day, and the next she couldn't help but deliver her four puppies in that scary place. Fortunately for her and us we had room to bring her and her tiny family. She has since done a great job of raising her children (Jill, Kelly, Sabrina and Bosley - Charlie's angels) and is ready to find a home she can call her own.

Charlotte is between one and two years old and only weighs about eight pounds. She is great on leash and loves to go for walks. She is a quiet and smart girl and will only bark if there is truly a reason to bark (mostly here it's been to protect her babies), and she is not a nuisance barker at all. Charlie is crate trained as well.

Charlie is submissive and on the shy side when she meets a new person. Earn her trust, which doesn't take long, and she is quick to become a playful and silly girl around you. She will follow her new person to the ends of the earth.

If you are interested in meeting Charlie, please go to our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, click on "Resources" and then "Application," and right from the site you can submit your completed application. You won't regret it!

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
