Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE 3/14/08 Mikah is doing terrific in her foster home in Southern Maine. She is doing well with basic obedience and gets along really well with all other dogs although tends to want to be dominant female- she also loves toys and will carry around a toy for a long time. She is very snuggly. Check out new pics of Mikah. We don't think she was thrilled with wearing that outfit at Petquarters but she was a VERY good girl and liked meeting people of all ages!
Update 1/18/08 Mikah is on her way to New England to foster care. This regal cutie could be yours if you have room in your heart and home for her. Email us for an application, and stay tuned for updates from her foster family. Hooray for Mikah!
Mikah has been at shelter several months and is starting to signs of stress. We really need foster care here in New England- can you help? Mikah was an owner surrender from a very loving home (please read on for details) She doesn't understand why she has been left at the shelter.
Update 11/17/07: Mikah is such a wonderful dog and she has been living at the shelter for 2 months now! Mikah loves to run (and she's fast too!) and would do great in a family that is active. Please consider fostering- she deserves a chance!
9/18/07: Hi I'm Mikah, a Labrador- Catahoula Leopard Dog mix (they think). I had a wonderful home with a wonderful family until my daddy was called away overseas. I can't help but be heartbroken.
Here is what my Dad has to say about me:
She is a very sweet dog with a very very happy disposition and was raised around other dogs and cats and thus is good with other animals.
She is very playful and full of energy but aside from when she was a puppy we didnt have any problems with hyperactivity.
She is a year and a half old and is housebroken, crate trained, loves attention and getting her chest and belly rubbed. She never was around children but knowing her she would be great with them as she is very loving.
The only bad habits she had was that she jumped up on houseguests (but was getting alot better at not doing that) and pulling while on a leash. We had a choke collar that helped with the pulling. We adopted her from a shelter in Desoto Co when she was 10 weeks old. She is really a great dog and is very missed
Please help me- I am very friendly and I was housebroken (I really don't have a choice right now you know....). I would LOVE to find a forever happy home.
