Joey's Story...
Three hoots for SCARF! Because of them, I am the four legged puppy that I am today. When I was brought into the shelter by a police officer, I had an broken back leg. SCARF took me to the vet, and the nice people there put a cast on my leg. After two weeks at the home of my terrific foster parents, I was brought back to the shelter and taken to the vet to get my cast off. I am now on a two week rest period at the shelter. And OFFICIALLY, on the 15th of October, I will be up for adoption! I am pretty excited for that day. I have a lot of puppy energy and would just love to play. I give pretty good kisses and am more that willing to snuggle if you will let me. They believe that I am about four months old and well I still have some growing left to do. Come see me at the shelter...you won't be disappointed as I show off my cuteness!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Sidney Pharaoh Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pharaoh Hound for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Pharaoh Hound puppy from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pharaoh Hound breeders who help with Pharaoh Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
