Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, Iâm Diego. I am a beautiful blonde lab/shepherd cross with-âthanks to New Hope I've got a million dollar smile! I donât mean to brag, but since I got a good grooming and my teeth fixed I do get an awful lot of compliments. Donât let my hair colour fool you though, I'm pretty smart too! I come when I'm called (unless thereâs something reeeaaalllyyy interesting near by) and I know my basic commands. I'm a pretty big guy (80 lbs and 26â%9D at shoulder) so thereâs lots of me to love. And you are guaranteed to fall in love with me, as everyone tells me how much of a sweetheart I am!
I am great with cats, other dogs, and children. I have very good house manners and I never try to jump on the furniture, destroy anything, or pee where Im not supposed to, so I get to be loose in the house all the time, even when my foster parents arenât at home! As long as no one leaves any delicious people food or dog treats laying where I can reach them (including the garbage can), then Iâm good to go!
Although some might consider me a âmatureâ%9D dog (I was born in 2006), I have more energy than my foster sister and sheâs only 5! I love to chase balls in the backyard and go for long walks. I pull on the leash when Iâm excited to meet someone, but generally walk on the leash pretty well. Sometimes when Iâm really happy I might try to jump on you, but my foster parents are working with me on this (uhg, parents huh?). I will let out a few barks to alert my family to a new dog or person in the neighborhood, but otherwise Iâm pretty quiet. I get excited when you get home, but later on in the evening I like to catch up on my beauty sleep by resting wherever my two-leggers are hanging out.
Thatâs enough about me, I want to know more about you! So please fill out an adoption application if your interested in being my forever home.
