SELENA's Story...
MEET SELENA! She's a beautiful pocket pittie! We had to take her when we watched the video about the neglect she suffered prior to coming into the shelter and the bum leg she was left with. Despite the cruelty inflicted on her by humans, she is all about love–for people and dogs! We are so lucky to have her! Female, young adult, Pit Bull mix, approx. 43 lbs. Pulled from the North Central Shelter.

UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER: Selena is doing great. We love her. She likes to sleep in her crate and is house broken. She is full of puppy energy, plays with stuffed animals and tug of war. She loves other dogs and is in the process of learning to behave like a lady when on a leash!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SELENA, a Los Angeles Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
