Captain's Story...
Hi, my name is Captain, but my foster mom calls me “Cappy” for short. I am an approximately 4 year old, male cattle dog. I am a big ol’ teddy bear: I like to be curled up next to you and just be petted. I get along very well with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. I do have some tummy troubles with certain foods so I will need to be kept on a grain free diet. I am very good on a leash and love to go on walks! I will make a perfect FUREVER friend for your and your family!

Cappy's adoption fee is $200.

If you are interested in this dog, please go to www.NHCDArizona.com/adopt.html to fill out the adoption application. You may also contact adopt@nhcdarizona.com if you have any questions. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
