Eleanor's Story...
This is Eleanor. She has been AAMC's Mother of The Year 2013. Eleanor came from The Animal Center of Moore County with 5 babies of her own. She took on 2 kittens who had been abandoned and were a little older than her babies-she didn't mind. Then she went into foster care and became the Mother of any single kitten that we got in this Spring. The Foster Mom just showed her a kitten and Eleanor would lick it and make room for it. She taught them all how to groom themselves, use the litter box and how to be a great kitten which always makes a great cat. Eleanor is DONE being a Mom and would love to have a home of her own. She got along with other cats in foster care, loves to hide and sleep in boxes or crates and is just a laid back kind of girl. We are not sure how old she is-maybe 4. She loves to sleep and adores a scratching post. Eleanor is at Petsmart in Aberdeen and would love to meet you! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eleanor, a Pinehurst Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Pinehurst, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Pinehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
