Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beau is a Shepherd/Boxer mix and is six years old and 57 lbs. He is a favorite at one of our partner shelters! He has one eye the color of a blue summer’s sky and his other is brown like warm chocolate. Beau is the first dog volunteers love to take out for walks and playtime. He will sit with you on a bench or under a tree, he is always happy to be by your side for quality cuddle time. He is such a sweet, gentle, affectionate dog! Beau is a loyal walking companion and looks forward to his daily playtime in the shelter yard, where he especially enjoys playing ball. He is housebroken, too. Beau is a bright dog with an eager to please personality and will sit on command. Most of all, he enjoys attention and affection and lots of hugs and being petted. He'll sit and shake and then stand to give you a hug! Beau is great with people of all ages and wonderful with children - he might knock over a toddler in his excitement just because of his size, but he is gentle and sweet. He hasn't lived with cats but when tested he was interested but did not chase. Beau is working on "no" and "stay", like with a lot of dogs, those are the hardest ones! Beau loves car rides and walking, he just wants to be with his humans. He is active and might be a great agility dog. Beau will bark if he hears someone at the door or on the property but will settle down if given a cue from his humans. He will be such a devoted part of the family lucky enough to take him home!
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
