Alfie's Story...
Alfie is a bama pure bred.. meaning we dont know what breed he is.. but he is a lovebug. Tossed out of a car onto a country road at the tender age of 6 months, Alfie became a stray. Though he was fed by a few families on the street he lived on, he had no home to call his own, no family, and none of the vet care he needed. Around a year later, local families contacted rescues looking for help for Alfie, and he was taken in by a foster family! Alfie is now up to date on his veterinary care, microchipped, neutered, and is a happy and healthy TWO year old boy! Alfie is such a wonderful dog - he will adapt to the needs of whoever he is with; he runs twice a week at the Greenway with one foster parent (he keeps up for almost 3 miles!), but can also be seen many nights just lounging on the couch (belly-up, of course - he is quite the cuddlebug) with the other. Alfie gets along with other dogs, is playful with cats, loves kids, and literally jumps for joy when "his people" come in the room. Please consider giving Alfie the loving forever family he deserves!
Fostered in Tanner, AL. He is current on all vaccines and HW and flea preventative, HW negative and neutered. He is also Microchipped. For more information and to fill out an application, please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alfie, a Homewood Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
