My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is an approximately 4 year old red merle male with lots of energy. He weighs 45 lbs and has a docked tail. He loves attention and will let someone do anything with him. He had pneumonia when he came into rescue, and he was always amenable to his breathing treatments. He is completely well now, and is full of life. He seems to be happy to play with all other dogs he has met, including a puppy. He sometimes just gets so excited and boisterous that other dogs are annoyed. If he feels threatened, he immediately rolls over and shows his belly. The first few times he was on a leash he just laid down and had to be carried, but now he loves having a leash put on and follows right along (or runs ahead). He needs someone with patience to show him what he should do and he will be thrilled to perform. Cats are still an unknown, although he has sniffed at a couple while on lead and shown no more than interest. This is a dog with a lot of potential, and needs someone willing to work with his energy to harness it, and able to work with his submissiveness to give him confidence.
