Hi there! I'm Amber. I was surrendered to Happy Strays in 2011 because my mom was in the military and being deployed. I was born in late 2009. Because I am a tortie I do feel it necessary to show my "tortie-tude". I am ok with my sister Kyia but don't really like being around other cats and dogs make me a little nervous. I enjoy head scratches from my foster mom but will let her know when I have had enough! My favorite part of the day is feeding time! I do like to carry on a good conversation and I do answer my foster mom when she calls me! Recently, I have even surprised her by jumping in her lap for cuddles! (we torties are full of surprises!) Because I am an adult kitty and a little shy I tend to get looked over at adoption events. I would really love to find a forever home soon! Can you help me? I am already spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and vaccinated.

About Happy Strays Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Happy Strays Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. Our rescues are often just babies who require bottlefeeding and hand rearing. Our cats and kittens are cared for in a network of wonderful foster homes while they wait for adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We currently have many many cats and kittens ready for adoption! Because we do not have a shelter and our cats reside in foster homes they are only available to be seen at our adoption Saturdays. If there is a cat you would like to meet, please let us know so that we can make sure the kitty is at our next event.

Our cats are available for adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3:30 pm at the PETCO in La Canada and 10:00am-2:30pm at Petco in Santa Clarita. Please see our website for details and directions.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fees average $100 and include spay/neuter, testing for Felv/FIV and all vaccinations. We have an adoption questionaire and contract to be signed. We do not allow de-clawing, but we often rescue declawed cats and have them available for adoption. If the adoption is not a good fit for the cat or family, pets may always be returned to us.
