Maizey-Adopted!'s Story...
10-8 Update: Maizey has been in her foster home for almost 1 week. What a fabulous girl she is. She's housebroken, crate trained and very well behaved. She loves to hang with her people. She seems fine with other dogs. Maizey gravitates toward children 8 years and older. Because she is just a tiny bit timid, she may be a bit overwhelmed by small children. Maizey is starting to play bow, coming into her own a little more each day. She is extremely sweet and very attentive. She knows "sit" and is learning to sit before she is fed. We will share updated pics of Maizey in the near future. We will continue to update you on her temperament as we learn more about her. We can say without a doubt, she is a wonderful dog and will make someone a wonderful companion! Please read below for more on Maizey.

Maizey is approximately 3 years old. She is a white female Boxer American Bulldog mix, with natural tail and ears. Maizey is not deaf. Fassa’s Friends was notified by a local shelter regarding Maizey. Maizey is a bit shy and the kennel manager at the shelter has been working with her daily on this issue. We are happy to state Maizey is coming along as her shyness has substantially decresased She is very well mannered. When she walks on leash and the person walking her stops, Maizey stops and sits at her side. With just a little coaxing, she will take treats gently from a new person’s hand. She appears to be potty trained. When exposed to a 10 year old child, Maizey gravitated toward her. Maizey is OK with other dogs, however if challenged by another dog, will most likely stand her ground. We will keep you posted as we learn more about Maizey.

Maizey is looking for an experienced foster or adoptive home that will continue to work on exposing her gradually to new people and experiences. Maizey’s foster or adoptive home should be one that is calm and will provide her with structure. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maizey-Adopted!, a Turnersville Boxer/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Bulldog for sale in Turnersville, or seeking a Boxer/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Turnersville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Turnersville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Turnersville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Bulldog breeders who help with Boxer/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Turnersville paves the way for another one to be saved.
