My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sasha, Female Thai Ridgeback mix, 3 to 4 years, 45 lbs
Well, honestly, I’m still a little shy. At least around human men, but I’m working on it and getting ever so much better. I do love my kids though (human and canine). I have two youngin’s here who I love to play with and protect. I would never, ever let anything happen to them. They are the best! I also have some dog company (small and large) and we all get along. Cats, well I like the tough ones who don’t run. I just can’t help it, I chase the runners, but it’s all in good fun! I have learned lots of stuff here at my foster’s house. I am very self sufficient (for a canine, at least). I’m fine with sleeping by myself, getting a bath, using the dog door and cuddling with my humans. I am kind of a nerd about cleanliness. No accidents for me. Yuck. I have beautiful fur (my foster says it’s like chocolate velvet) and I like keeping myself clean and neat so I always look my best. My life wasn’t always this great. For a while there things were touch and go. When the nice folks at M.A.I.N. first helped me my skin was a mess (chocolate hash back then). Much better now. I even get to go to training! The nice lady that is teaching me even put me in charge of another dog! Wow, can you believe I have a job already. This poor other pup didn’t want anything to do with any other dogs. It wasn’t easy, but I brought him out of his shell. It may be ‘cause I’m so athletic and eager to please. I know I can make you a good and loyal companion. You just wait and see.
Sasha Update: Well, it’s been a while so the nice folks at M.A.I.N. thought I could use some help with my adoption – so I went to school!!! It’s been great. I’ve learned to get along with cats, go on hikes (long ones with lots of other pups and human kids!) and overcome my shyness with humans. Hey my hikes are quite invigorating. And I get to go off leash now. Too cool. I even dig men now (human ones, that is…liked the canine version from the get-go). I’ve been living with a professional trainer for a year, so all of my kinks have been worked out. Still looking for my forever home, but my current foster (the trainer) thinks I’m totally awesome. I can prove it to you. Just give me a call. - Sasha
I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and come with my County license. My adoption fee is $150.
