Ruger's Story...
Ruger is a black Lab puppy who was born September 11, 2007. This good-natured boy is very sweet, friendly and well-behaved! Ruger is clam and mellow; he enjoys being held and carried like a baby (on his back with his tummy up). He seems to be a smart, intelligent fellow and is already working on a few commands. Ruger gets along well with other dogs. He has been crated overnight and is doing wonderful with it. Ruger’s foster home has been working with him on house training, as well. He has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Ruger in his foster home. Ruger’s adoption fee is $145. (MJ&CS)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruger, a Owatonna Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
