Sissy's Story...
Hi! My name is Sissy and I am a Doxie/Chi. I will be 8 yrs. old in November, weigh 10 lbs., and I am as sweet as can be. I was a wonderful pet but my owner got too sick to take care of me so now I am looking for another great home with folks who will love me as much as they did. I am house trained and leash trained and can’t wait to be someone’s beloved companion again. I’m well behaved, follow my foster mom everywhere, and just love to be close to you and sitting on your lap. I have always lived with my friend Sami and would love to stay with her, but either way, if you are looking for a loving lap dog companion, please ask for me on your application to www.breederadoptions.org.
Love, Sissy 111112-30

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Cottonwood Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Cottonwood, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Cottonwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cottonwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cottonwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cottonwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
