My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for her health and medical records. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Hard to believe, but this beautiful cat, Sam, was found wandering as a stray and without a home, accepting food from concerned neighbors. His collar was deeply embedded in the fur at his neck. No one was looking for him. The same kind neighbors who made sure Sam had food took him to a vet for neutering, vaccinations and tests and are supporting him in a boarding facility while they find him a new home.
Sam is a mellow, friendly guy. The vet's office staff called him "a love who likes ear scratches." Sam is a big fellow at 15 lbs and his age is estimated between 3-5 years. He has soft, silky fur. Some think he is a Rag doll, others that he may have some Himalayan in his background.
You should be aware that Sam has tested positive for FIV. To read more on FIV go to http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/brochures/fiv.html. Sam has friends, but he needs a permanent, loving home. Will it be yours?

For more information on Sam call Paulette at 510 604-9020 or email her at sandpmurillo@sbcglobal.net. Please note that Sam is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his owner in Castro Valley while we place him.
