Nala was recently rescued from a high kill shelter in Middle TN where
she is currently being fostered. She came to a high kill shelter along with
four of her puppies as the owner just didn't want any dogs anymore. Their
loss, our gain! She is a four year old lab mixed with what we think is Great
Pyrenees. Nala is a gentle and quiet dog. She is learning so much in her
new home as she didn't have a lot of life experiences when we saved her. She
does know the command "Sit." Her low key energy level is certainly a plus as
well as the fact that she does not jump up on you unless really really
excited! She seems to prefer women over men until she gets to know them but
now she adores the foster family's husband. She seems very grateful for
being rescued and isn't a big barker. If you are working on the computer,
she lies right beside you. If you are ready for a walk, she quietly gets up
and follows you. She is easy to walk as well. Even though she is a large
dog, she is shy and unassuming. We are looking for a quiet environment for
Nala and not a busy city area. The hustle and bustle of constant activity
would scare her. She is always happy to see us but she simply wags her tail
and walks calmly to us when we get home! Love those manners! Nala is a gentle soul who needs a nurturing forever home. She just seems to get better
and better over time!
