Benji's Story...
Hi my name is Benji and I am a handsome and sweet Lhasa Apso and Terrier mix about 8 years old (so you humans think), and am looking for a loving forever home. You won't believe what happened to me. One day a good Samaritan lady was driving home from work and saw me sitting under a stop sign at the intersection of Rampart Road and Collins Road on the Jacksonville and Orange Park line. It looked like I was waiting for my ride home but no one ever came back for me. The good Samaritan lady was afraid that I would get hit by a car and took me home. She had two big dogs at home and they didn't want to share their home with me even though my Good Samartan mom really liked me.

I did have an ID tag on me with a name and address on the East side of Jacksonville. So the good Samaritan lady called the number on the tag only to discover that my human mom had passed away and her nephew made it very clear that he and the remaining family members did not want me. I am a really sweet, fun loving loving and playful little guy and did not deserve to be abandoned. My human mom would be rolling over in her grave if she knew that I was left on the other side of town abandoned on the side of the road by her family. It was a very sad day for me as I missed my human mom so much.

The next thing you know the good Samaritan lady met with the President of Paws 4 Humanity Inc and I was taken into the rescue and into my new foster family. That was the first day of the beginning of the rest of my life. I was pretty matted and dirty so Paws 4 Humanity Inc gave me an extreme makeover and a wonderful haircut and grooming. I felt like a million bucks. And now I was ready to find my forever home where I could give a family all of the love and companionship that I have to give.

Just in case you are wondering, the reason why Paws 4 Humanity Inc has labeled me a special needs dog is because I just recently go a full checkup from the doc (you call them veterinarian) and it was noticed that I had a heart murmur so they have me on meds. That doesn't stop me though as I still enjoy playing with other dogs and am an energetic and fun loving little guy.

I live with other small dogs in my foster family and get along well with them. I am happy in my foster home but would so like to find a home of my own where I can share my sweet and loving personality with my own fur-ever family. I am crate trained, house trained and obedience trained. I really like my quality time with my foster mom and love to go for walks and have quiet time with my mom. I am great with kids and other dogs. I don't know how I am with cats as I have never met one. I am such a sweet guy I am sure I could become friends with a cat or any other small animal.

I have a coat as smooth as silk and a personality as sweet as apple pie. If you would like to meet yours truly and find out just how much of a great little guy that I really am and would like to give me the fur-ever home that I so deserve please contact Paws 4 Humanity Inc at 904 771-9516 or shoot them an email to paws4humanity@att.net to request an adoption application which is the first step in their adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved you will then be able to meet yours truly, the best sweetest Lhasa Apso mix on the planet. I look forward to meeting you and showing you that not only am I a cute little stud muffin, but I am also a very sweet, well mannered and handsome little guy who truly deserves a great fur-ever home! We all do! Love and kisses - Benji.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Jacksonville Lhasa Apso/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
