Dalton's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dalton's Story...
I'm a 15 week old (1/18/2008) bouncy dude and am Macon's brother. I'm sweet, adorable and cuddly! I think I'm the cutest - how can you not fall in love with my face???

I'm just coming into my own - I'm still pretty young. I try to do some of the things my older foster brothers and sisters do, but I'm still too little. I HAVE learned to go up and down the stairs - though I took a few tumbles along the way. My brothers and sisters laugned at me at first, but then when I could get to places they couldn't - they decided to try it too!

I'm crate trained and walk pretty well on a leash. I'm working on my basic obedience commands and doing great with those!

I can't be adopted out to a family with children under the age of 8 years old. That's because when I get older, I'm going to be pretty big and energetic - too much for a young child to handle!

I've been neutered, dewormed, and I'm up to date with vaccinations and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

If you'd like to meet me or have any questions about me, please complete an online adoption application and my foster home will be happy to arrange a visit! Please allow up to 72 hours for someone from New Leash to respond to your application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dalton, a Wake Forest Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Wake Forest, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Wake Forest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wake Forest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wake Forest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wake Forest paves the way for another one to be saved.
