Petra is a sweet, affectionate cat who wants very much to be a snuggly kitty. Having raised three kittens on the street, she is somewhat skittish and not quite comfortable with being held, but she is very friendly once she gets to know you and is working hard on her trust issues.

Though not yet a lap cat, she loves to sleep on the bed next to your feet, and to curl up near you for her afternoon nap. She loves being petted and getting skritches on the back of her neck, and will lick your fingers when she is feeling particularly affectionate. She has a charmingly tiny high- pitched meow.

Petra is calm and friendly around other kitties and would love to go to a home with another friendly kitty. If her forever home doesn't already have a resident feline, we recommend that Petra be adopted with a VOKRA buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petra, a Vancouver Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
