Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Penny and here is what my foster family has to say about me:
This sweet girl came to us from a rural shelter and was very scared at first, but is also very sweet and is beginning to come out of her shell. Penny loves to be close by, and especially likes to snuggle up with anyone reading a book.
She's gentle and generous with her soft kisses, and seems to especially love children, though she still cowers a little at loud noises. She seemed slightly curious about cats at first, but as Penny's confidence increases, she is showing more interest in chasing the cats at times.
When she spots other dogs, this sweet girl goes from frightened to overjoyed. She wags her tail and play bows and seeks comfort by standing near or, if they are tall enough, under them. She plays beautifully, with great joyful abandon. Penny takes her cues from her canine foster brother and does everything he does. Through him, she has learned all about going up and downstairs, getting love from people, and avoiding eye contact with the dangerous cat.
Penny is already doing very well with potty-training and is sleeping in her crate with only an occasional little whine. She would love a home with people who will be patient with her as she learns to trust her new, safe life, and she would do best in a home with another companion dog. Her foster family loves her dearly and thinks she is so quick to learn and incredibly sweet!
